Code of Conduct for Players
- The Club will
not tolerate the verbal or physical abuse of any coach who is giving their time freely for your enjoyment
and who is acting in good faith in their choices and decisions on and off the
field of play. Any player who is found guilty of such actions by the Club
Disciplinary Committee will face sanctions up to or including expulsion from
the Club.
- Play for
enjoyment, not just to please your parents/guardians or coach.
- Play by the laws
of the game.
- Always accept the
referee’s decision.
- Play with
control. Do not lose your temper
- Play for yourself
and your team – your team’s performance will benefit and so will your own.
- Respect your
opponent. Treat all players as you would like to be treated. Do not bully or
take advantage of any player.
- Co-operate with
your coaches, your team-mates and opponents.
- Remember that the
goals of the game are to have fun, improve your skills and feel good too.
- At the final
whistle thank your opponents and the referee.
- Always remember
that you owe a duty of care to your opponents. Tackle hard but fairly – never
do anything to intentionally hurt your opponent.
- Win with humility
– lose with dignity.
- Have respect for
club property.
- Have respect for
your coach/manager by informing him/her at all times of your
availability/unavailability for matches/training. Remember training is an
important part of preparation.
- Be a good
timekeeper.
- PLAYERS MUST
ENSURE THEIR REGISTRATION FEES ARE FULLY PAID BY THE DUE DATE EACH YEAR. Players who are not registered are not insured AND THEREFORE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PLAY
OR TRAIN WITH ANY CLUB TEAM BY ORDER OF THE CLUB COMMITTEE.
- Players must play
for their own age group at all times on match day, otherwise they cannot be
considered for selection on another older age group for that day.
- Any player fined
within the rules of the North Tipperary & District League is responsible
for the full payment of that fine personally and the player shall not be
eligible to play for the Club until such time as that fine is fully paid.
- All players are required by the Club to wear the full
club kit on match day.
